Role:

ReWA is seeking an Outreach Ambassador to increase the organization's visibility throughout the community and strengthen relationships with diverse stakeholders. This highly interactive role focuses on engaging clients, volunteers, donors, potential employees, community partners, and prospective Board members through outreach, relationship-building, and community engagement. The Outreach Ambassador serves as a visible representative of ReWA, helping connect community members to resources while promoting the organization's mission, programs, and opportunities for involvement. Through culturally responsive communication and strategic networking, this role helps ensure community members and partners remain informed, engaged, and connected.

What You'll Do:

Community Outreach & Engagement Represent ReWA at community events, resource fairs, networking opportunities, and outreach activities. Conduct event tabling, distribute informational materials, and engage community members in conversations about agency services. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and local leaders to strengthen referral networks. Deliver presentations and informational sessions about ReWA programs and volunteer opportunities. Coordinate outreach visits to schools, faith-based organizations, and cultural centers. Recruitment & Relationship Building Identify and engage prospective clients, volunteers, donors, and Board candidates through outreach efforts. Support volunteer recruitment by promoting opportunities and assisting with onboarding activities. Collaborate with program and Human Resources teams to promote open positions and attract qualified candidates. Maintain relationships with prospective donors and community partners through consistent follow-up and engagement. Marketing & Visibility Support Assist with the creation of culturally relevant outreach materials in partnership with the communications team. Support social media campaigns that highlight programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and community impact. Utilize community platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels to share agency updates and event information. Track outreach activities and engagement metrics and provide reporting to leadership. Event Coordination & Participation Assist with planning and executing community events, including logistics, setup, and follow-up activities. Serve as a welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional representative of the organization during events and presentations. Gather participant feedback to help improve future outreach and engagement efforts. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of outreach contacts, event participation, referrals, and recruitment outcomes. Prepare timely reports on outreach activities and community engagement impact. Utilize CRM systems and tracking tools to monitor progress toward outreach goals. Collaboration & Team Support Partner closely with program, development, and leadership teams to align outreach efforts with organizational priorities and goals. Participate as an engaged team member by supporting communication, collaboration, and cross-departmental teamwork. Contribute ideas to improve community engagement, streamline operations, and enhance outreach effectiveness. The Outreach Ambassador will support organizational goals through activities such as: Attending a minimum of four (4) outreach events per month. Generating at least ten (10) new client referrals per month. Recruiting five (5) new volunteers per month. Supporting a 15% increase in social media engagement within six months. Establishing three (3) new community partnerships per quarter.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, including public speaking experience. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience in outreach, community engagement, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms. Ability to effectively engage and communicate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field and two years of professional experience in an office environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional language proficiency. Experience working in community-based, multicultural, nonprofit, or social service environments.

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel throughout the community. Flexible schedule that includes occasional evening and weekend work to support outreach events. Ability to lift and transport outreach materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Work performed in both office settings and a variety of community-based locations. Why Join ReWA?
