Are you passionate about nurturing faith, inspiring young minds, and building a vibrant, Christ-centered community? LifeTree Community Church is seeking a dedicated and organized Children's Christian Education Director to join us!
The Details:
Status:
Part-Time (Estimated 16 hours per week )
Pay Range:
$19 - $23 per hour (depending on experience) Paid leave in compliance with Michigan's Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA)
Organizational Structure:
In this role, you will: Report directly to the Pastor for day-to-day vision and ministry alignment. Maintain direct accountability to our Board of Elders . Maintain indirect accountability to the Consistory of the Church .
Responsibilities:
1. Available Sunday before, during, and after worship service to welcome and direct parents with children (Sundays from 10am - Noon) 2. Select Sunday School curriculums and get Pastor's approval of material 3. Schedules Teachers, or oversees schedule created by volunteer directors 4. Recruit, train, and oversee teachers for children/s classes 5. Oversight of Wednesday night family activities for children 6. Purchases supplies needed (has a line item in the annual budget, and is expected to have a church credit card for purchasing items) 7. Schedules VBS, selects program (subject to Pastor's approval), recruits volunteers 8. Participation in planning and celebrating Christmas service 9. Communication with parents on a regular basis 10. Oversight and arranging through our Safety & Security Team all background checks for volunteers in serving children's ministries 11. Attending portions of the board of elders' meetings to provide updates as needed 12. Other duties as determined by the
Pastor Requirements:
1. Maturity of Christian faith 2. Adherence to the Bible as God's inspired and Holy Word 3. Love for children 4. Member of LifeTree Community Church 5. Supportive of the Alliance of Reformed Churches Unifying Beliefs 6. Committed to Christ and called by him to serve 7. Supportive of the mission and priorities of LifeTree Community Church 8. Attend Sunday worship 9. Professional manners with Parents and their children
Preferred:
1. Post High School education including educational experience 2. Experience with children's ministry
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
