Posted 07-20-2026 Youth Sacramental Coordinator - Saint Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN) St. Andrew Catholic Church (Elk River, MN) is seeking a faithful, collaborative, and mission-driven Youth Sacramental Coordinator to provide leadership and help coordinate our children's sacramental preparation program. This part-time, hourly position plays a vital role in building the Kingdom of God here and now through the witness of a lived faith. The Sacramental Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and walking with families as they prepare their children to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time. This person will also assist with family faith formation programming and the Confirmation preparation program. The Sacramental Coordinator is supervised by the Director of Religious Education and works in close collaboration with the Pastor, Parish Administrator, parish staff, catechists, and volunteers. This position will require some evening and weekend hours as program schedules require. Key Responsibilities Oversee and execute the sacramental preparation program, helping families prepare their children to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation). Assist with the Family Faith Formation program, leading sections as assigned. Recruit, train, support, and provide direction to catechists and volunteers in accordance with diocesan and parish guidelines. Utilize age-appropriate catechetical curriculum. Regularly review the curriculum to ensure that it remains relevant and effective for parish families. Oversee youth programs such as Vacation Bible School, Totus Tuus, youth retreats, camps, and other faith growth opportunities. Maintain accurate and confidential student records. Assist with engagement and evangelization initiatives of youth and families who are not participating in parish programs. Communicate regularly with parents, supporting their role as primary educators of their children in the faith. Qualifications A practicing Roman Catholic who lives and models the teachings, faith, and morals of the Catholic Church. High School diploma required. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor's or Master's) in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field preferred. Experience in parish catechetical ministry as a parish staff member or volunteer preferred.
