Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative children's ministry programs that align with the church's mission and values, fostering spiritual growth and biblical literacy. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and staff involved in children's ministry, ensuring they are equipped to deliver engaging and age-appropriate religious education. Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, and outreach activities that promote community involvement and faith-based learning for children and families. Provide pastoral support and guidance to children and their families, including offering bereavement support or counseling as needed. Collaborate with church leadership to integrate children's ministry into overall church initiatives, including youth engagement and mission work. Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with religious organization childcare standards to create a secure environment for all children. Engage with the broader community through outreach efforts, fostering relationships that support youth ministry growth and religious organization community engagement. Skills Extensive experience working with children in religious or educational settings, demonstrating strong leadership in youth programs teaching. Proven ability to manage volunteers effectively while inspiring a team dedicated to nurturing faith in young minds. Deep understanding of pastoral theology, religious studies, and Christian counseling principles relevant to youth engagement. Excellent communication skills for mentoring families, coordinating events, and fostering community relationships within a faith-based context. Skilled in event planning, fundraising efforts for ministry programs, and social work practices related to youth development. Experience working as a clergyperson or in religious leadership roles within nonprofit faith-based organizations. Knowledge of religious organization childcare regulations coupled with experience in youth ministry, religious teaching, and mission work.
