Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to help grow our substance use disorder treatment program and strengthen our relationships within the behavioral health and recovery community. The ideal candidate has experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, mental health, healthcare business development, or a related field and understands the importance of ethical, client-centered outreach. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with detox facilities, residential treatment centers, hospitals, therapists, psychiatrists, sober living homes, outpatient programs, interventionists, case managers, and other community partners. Identify new referral sources and opportunities to expand awareness of our treatment services. Conduct regular outreach through phone calls, emails, in-person meetings, networking events, conferences, and facility visits. Educate referral partners about our programs, services, admission criteria, and treatment philosophy. Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with existing referral partners. Collaborate with admissions and clinical leadership to help ensure potential clients are connected with the appropriate level of care. Represent the organization professionally at community events, conferences, networking opportunities, and industry meetings. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral relationships, and business development efforts. Monitor referral trends and provide leadership with updates regarding outreach activity and opportunities for growth. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow all applicable confidentiality, HIPAA, ethical marketing, and patient-protection requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in business development and behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare sales, outreach, admissions. Existing relationships within the behavioral health or substance use treatment community are highly desirable. Strong communication, networking, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Comfortable conducting both in-person and telephone outreach. Ability to work independently while collaborating with admissions, clinical, and administrative teams. Professional, dependable, and able to represent our organization and its values within the community. Understanding of substance use disorders, recovery, treatment services, and different levels of care is strongly preferred.
