About Peninsula Bridge:
Peninsula Bridge is a non-profit organization that transforms the lives of highly motivated, low-income students by preparing and supporting them for success in college preparatory high school programs and four year colleges through out-of-school, social-emotional and academic learning programs.
After-School Program Site Coordinator Position Description:
Hours:
19 hours/week Monday and Wednesday and Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-6:30pm at school site 3 additional hours of administrative work, meetings, and family communication

Role and Responsibilities :
The Site Coordinator has an administrative, site leadership role for the Elementary and Middle School program. The Site Coordinator is the administrative leader of a site-based team with 1-2 assistant site coordinators and 4-6 teachers. They also collaborate with other Site Coordinators on the Peninsula Bridge team. The Site Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Elementary & Middle School Programs.
Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Oversee daily program logistics including materials pick up, set-up, scheduling, daily staffing and supervision, communications, and student attendance.
  • Ensure a positive site culture through proactive practices including: establishment and regular maintenance of expectations and routines, regular student assemblies, and special activities to promote a sense of belonging.
  • Lead student and family support meetings ○ Check-ins at program with students as needed or determined by data analysis. ○ Problem solving meetings with students and families related to engagement and/or behavior. ○ Implement Student Support Plans (SSP)
  • Manage all communications with families including communicating about logistics, documentation, family programming and events, and any student specific issues.
  • Prioritize student health and safety on site, including caring for sick or injured students and communicating with parents, following all emergency procedures and protocols, and communicating about potential safety issues.
  • Liaise with transportation dispatch, bus drivers, and home schools about day to day transportation and reporting any concerns to the Director and to the transportation company.
  • Attend one Site Coordinator meeting per week.
Salary:
This is a position based on hourly pay. Compensation is $35/hr. Site Coordinators work 19 hours per week.
