JOB DESCRIPTION
The School Liaison helps build and maintain the culture of our group mentoring programs. The School Liaison facilitates engagement between the mentors, mentees, campus staff, and leads. They work to maintain good relationships with all teachers, counselors, and administrators, they capture data for funding requirements, and most importantly, they support mentors as they support the youth in our program. School Liaisons coordinate our school mentor programs that typically take place during lunchtime. All applicants must be available to work between 9am and 2:00 pm. We can be flexible on when office hours take place, allowing School Coordinators to work office hours before or after the lunchtime programs.
COMMITMENT 20
Hours a week, Roughly 4 hours a day Monday through Friday during school hours. Must be available for special events and training. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive to schools across Shasta County.
JOB DUTIES
Communicate with school representatives on program needs and updates. Coordinate with the school representatives to ensure they are prepared. Responsible for reporting back to the Director of Youth Services. Prepare supplies for each school and replenish accordingly. Attend weekly team connection and logistics meetings. Keep good records of notes, attendance, receipts, and mileage. Responsible for collecting quotes, stories, and data for marketing and grant writing purposes. Send weekly program emails to mentors and schools. Completes documentation as trained. Fill in as a mentor until mentors are assigned to you, when mentors do not show up, or need to miss sessions. Support mentors (being a listening ear, remembering important things about them, celebrating their mentoring wins, etc.) Facilitate feedback talks with the campus leads and mentors on an as-needed basis. Participate in Mentor Meetups events Attend Raising Shasta events. Other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Pass a background check. Pass a Tuberculosis test. Work well on a team. Self starter. Type at least 35 wpm. Must have reliable transportation, auto insurance and a clean driving record. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills. Professional level verbal and written communications skills. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills. Detailed understanding of Google Business Suite. Must be relational with a high sense of discernment and discretion.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
