Job Description Summary:
Responsible for performing all aspects of the provision of patient social services. Establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for social services to meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the organizations mission and philosophy.

North San Diego County Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Conducts Explanation of Benefits Directs all daily patient social service operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of social service policies. Assures proper documentation of social services in clinical records Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the field of social work Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists referral sources in accessing community resources The above statements are intended to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those stated in this description.
Position Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work At least three (3) years experience preferably in hospice. Ability to deal compassionately and kindly with patients and the community. Bilingual highly desired!
