Job Description

Summit School District is seeking a full time Interim Social Worker to support the mental health and wellbeing of students and families. This is a grant funded, 195 day interim position within the school's coordinated student support team. The Social Worker supports students experiencing mental health concerns and partners closely with their families. Working as part of a coordinated student support team, this role connects students to community resources, provides case management, delivers intervention services, and collaborates with school counselors and psychologists to build a culture of wellness across the school. Key Responsibilities Foster relationships with families of students to better connect them to community resources and school activities. Provide 1:1 and group services to students. Provide case management for students and families who have been hospitalized for behavioral health concerns. Support development of school-wide wellness initiatives (e.g. attendance, prevention, etc.) Participate in community mental health huddles and other meetings as appropriate. Provide intervention sessions with students who have been referred for substance abuse concerns (e.g., Teen Intervene). Qualifications Active mental health special service provider or school social worker authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and organizational skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay:
$59,559.00 - $91,255.00 per year
