Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students as a school-based social worker in the New Britain, CT area! Two contract positions are available for professionals dedicated to fostering positive change and student well-being. Position 1: Start date: August 24, 2026
Duration:
Covering a leave for 4-6 weeks (end date to be determined) High school caseload 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday Position 2: Dates to be determined (leave coverage) Elementary caseload 35 hours/week, Monday through
Friday Key Qualifications:
Active Connecticut DPH and CT (071) certification/license required Prior experience working as a school-based social worker Comfortable with short-term leave coverage assignments Ability to work onsite Candidates must provide licensure/certification upon application
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling to students Support student social-emotional well-being and development Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families on intervention strategies Respond effectively to a variety of student needs and school environments Maintain accurate records and documentation compliant with school policies Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
