Job Description

Hive Counseling is a growing, provider-owned group practice serving clients in Oxford and Southbury, Connecticut. We are seeking a compassionate LMSW or LCSW to join our Oxford team and provide outpatient therapy to individuals across the lifespan. This position may be a great fit for a clinician who enjoys working with young people, values collaboration with families and other supports, and wants to practice in a warm, clinician-focused environment with administrative support behind them. Current Scheduling Needs Schedules can be built within any of the following time frames, with emphasis on afternoon and Saturday hours for those clinicians who work with children. Mondays 9am-8pm Tuesdays 9am-8pm Wednesdays 9am-8pm Thursdays during daytime hours Fridays 9am-6pm Saturdays 9am-3pm Candidates do not need to be available for every time listed above. The expected caseload once established is a minimum of 8 clients per week and a maximum of 30. Caseload is discussed and agreed upon prior to hiring. About Hive Counseling Hive Counseling was founded by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Meghan Slekis with the belief that our minds can sometimes feel like busy hives—filled with thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors that can be difficult to sort through alone. We provide collaborative, client-centered mental health care in a welcoming environment where clients and clinicians are valued as individuals. Our practice works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and other emotional and behavioral concerns. Depending on clinician training and client needs, our team incorporates evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT-informed interventions, exposure therapy, play-based therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. As a Therapist at Hive Counseling, you will: Provide individual psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan, with the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families based on your experience, interests, and areas of clinical focus. Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized, client-centered treatment plans. Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, medical providers, and other members of a client's support system when clinically appropriate and authorized. Connect clients and families with community resources and additional supports when needed. Participate in clinical consultation, case collaboration, and team meetings as appropriate. Provide services in our Oxford office, with telehealth incorporated when clinically appropriate and based on client needs.
What We're Looking For Required:
Current Connecticut LMSW or LCSW license in good standing. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families in a clinical, school, or social-services setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice according to professional and ethical standards. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Especially helpful:
Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy. Training or experience in evidence-based practice. Experience collaborating with schools and community providers. Interest in developing a long-term caseload of children and adolescents. LMSW Clinical Supervision Qualifying clinical supervision toward Connecticut LCSW licensure is provided for LMSW clinicians. Hybrid Options This position is based in our Oxford office, with hybrid telehealth options available based on client needs and clinical appropriateness. Pay:
$55.00 - $66.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 30.0 per week
