Child & Youth Worker 4KIDS - 3.7 Boca Raton, FL Job Details 9 hours ago Benefits 403(b) matching Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 403(b) Life insurance Qualifications Driver's License Passenger van operation Full Job Description Do you want a meaningful career providing Hope, Homes & Healing for children in foster care? 4KIDS is looking for a staff person to support our Neighborhood Foster Homes in Broward and Palm Beach County. This position partners closely with house parents to help create a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered home environment for children in foster care. The schedule is Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. with 7:00 p.m. with occasional weekend coverage . Travel between neighborhood foster homes may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Support house parents in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment Build safe, trusting relationships with children using trauma-informed care principles Recognize the impact of trauma and respond with patience, empathy, and consistency Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers Engage children of all ages through play, conversation, and relationship-building Assist with homework, routines, chores, and life skills development for older children and teens Provide supervision and reinforce expectations and appropriate behaviors Transport children to daycare, school, appointments, and activities as needed Help maintain the home (light cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a child-safe environment) Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral challenges and crisis situations Administer medications as trained Provide on-call support and coverage for house parents as needed
Qualifications:
Committed Christian with alignment with 4KIDS statement of faith Must be 23 years of age or older with valid drivers license in order to drive children in company provided vans Associates Degree preferred in related field Minimum two years experience working with children Strong communication and relational skills Basic computer skills for documentation Knowledge of trauma informed care principles and experience working with children impacted by trauma preferred Ability to meet the physical demands of caring for young children (lifting, carrying, active supervision) Ability to work in a team within a home-based environment Must have reliable transportation that can be used for work purposes Why work at 4KIDS?
