Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and certified Plato+ Program Staff to join all of our eight campuses at our K-12 school community. The Plato+Program Staff will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, engagement, and well-being of our students during Plato+ hours.
Responsibilities:
Supervise students during Plato+ Program hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework assistance, tutoring, educational projects, enrichment activities and Greek language and culture activities. Monitor and facilitate student transitions between classrooms, activity areas, and outdoor spaces. Maintain positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members. Follow school policies and procedures related to student behavior, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with school administration and teaching staff to support the overall educational mission of the school. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student activities, behavior, and any pertinent information.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in education or related field preferred. Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable. Possess or be willing to obtain relevant certifications for working with children (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, etc.). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of students. Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in childcare, education, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children.
Work Schedule:
This position typically operates during Plato+ program times, with additional flexibility for staff meetings and training sessions as needed. This is a part-time position.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
