Part-Time About Us Happy Trails Afterschool Club is a safe, nurturing, and engaging program where children learn, grow, and thrive beyond the school day. Our program focuses on enrichment, creativity, physical activity, and building confidence in a supportive environment. We are looking for energetic, responsible, and caring individuals who enjoy working with children and making a positive impact in their lives. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety and supervision of all students at all times , knowing their whereabouts and maintaining accurate attendance. Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children. Lead and organize engaging activities such as games, arts & crafts, outdoor play, and enrichment activities. Provide homework assistance and academic support when needed. Support students emotionally and socially , helping them develop confidence and positive relationships. Maintain group management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement strategies. Monitor and document incidents, accidents, or illness according to program procedures. Work collaboratively with staff, school personnel, and program supervisors. Assist with daily program setup, cleanup, and organization . Qualifications Experience working with children (school age preferred) Positive, patient, and energetic personality Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to manage a group of students in a structured environment Must pass a Level II Background Screening High School Diploma required (college coursework in education or related field preferred) Complete DCF 40
