Job Description
Eckerd College is currently hiring for the position of Part-Time Victim Advocate to join our Student Life team at our waterfront property along the Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, in our relationship-focused community. As a Part-Time Victim Advocate, you will serve as a confidential advocate, providing support services and information to students in response to experiences involving any form of sexual harassment or violence. The Advocate will provide advocacy and support services in accordance with federal and local laws and College policies. The role requires the incumbent to have the ability to work effectively as a confidential advocate balancing the needs of individual students with those of the College. Also, the incumbent must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and maturity in handling sensitive information, student interaction, and community relations as well as the ability to foster student development. This is a part-time 20 hour/week position, 40 weeks per year. It is requested that applicants have the ability to be flexible with working hours.
