Job Description

Lutheran Services Florida is seeking a compassionate Family Services Case Manager to support children and families through coordinated, community-based services. In this role, you'll manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop service plans, and connect families to child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, and educational resources. You'll collaborate with a diverse, supportive team dedicated to positive community impact, while maintaining timely documentation and ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory standards in a hybrid office and field environment. Responsibilities Manage family caseloads, conducting intake, assessment, and ongoing service planning Coordinate referrals to community resources in child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, and education Monitor family progress, document case notes, and maintain accurate, timely records in case management systems Collaborate with internal programs and external partners to ensure integrated, holistic support Advocate for client needs while promoting family stability, safety, and self-sufficiency Facilitate family meetings, home visits, and crisis interventions as needed Ensure compliance with agency policies, contracts, and regulatory standards Collect and report outcome data to support program evaluation and improvement Participate in team meetings, case staffing, and professional development activities Educate families on available services, rights, and responsibilities Required Skills Case management Psychosocial assessment Crisis intervention Motivational interviewing Knowledge of child welfare systems Knowledge of community resources Electronic case records/documentation Time management Interdisciplinary collaboration Basic data tracking and reporting
