Families First is looking for a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team as a Family Support Specialist (FSS). In this rewarding role, you'll work directly with children and families in their homes and communities, helping them build skills, overcome challenges, and achieve lasting success. This position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for daytime, evening, and occasional weekend hours based on family needs and contractual requirements. Provide in-home and community-based support using evidence-based practices. Develop service plans and help families connect with community resources. Collaborate with HHS, schools, courts, and community partners. Maintain timely documentation and case records. Support families during challenging situations and crisis events. Participate in on-call coverage and respond to urgent family needs when assigned. Qualifications You must meet one of the following requirements: A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited four-year college or university; or the equivalent of four years of full-time technical work experience involving direct contact with people in overcoming their social, economic, psychological, or health problems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting the equivalent of one year of full-time qualifying work experience for one year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education to a maximum substitution of four years. The technical work experience requirement may be applied broadly and includes but is not limited to experience in fields such as human services, behavioral health, child welfare, childcare, education, juvenile justice, and related roles involving direct engagement with individuals and families.
