Job Description

Kids Club Coordinator The West Branch Community Early Learning Center prides itself on hiring caring, positive, and friendly staff. We value and reward employees for their commitment to our center and the children for whom we care. For the Coordinator of our before and after school program, we are seeking candidates who can provide vision and leadership, foster a safe and nurturing environment for students, and establish and maintain positive relationships with children, their families, and the staff of Hoover Elementary.
Our ideal candidate will:
Create a lesson plan to provide activities for enrichment that can be scaled to be appropriate for children ages 5-12. Lead a team of 4-5 employees to provide supervision and instruction to school aged children. Demonstrate good judgement and an ability to work independently at an off-site location, serving as on-site supervisor. Ensure that all HHS regulations for childcare are implemented and maintained at all times. Ensure that all student files are kept up-to-date and organized, and communicate with families in a timely manner when any forms require renewal. Plan and execute field trips during the summer. This includes coordinating with destinations to achieve reasonable group rates, arranging transportation through the school district bus barn, creating and communicating schedules and expectations to families and students, and working with the Assistant Director to ensure appropriate supervision is maintained. Collaborate with other staff members to develop a set of rules and procedures to create a safe and kind learning environment at Kids Club, and ensure they are implemented uniformly. Provide instruction and guidance to all Kids Club staff, with the goal of creating a positive and supportive working environment, and helping staff to develop their skills as effective teachers and team members. Serve as a liaison between Hoover Elementary and West Branch Early Learning Center, and ensure that Kids Club maintains a positive relationship with the school staff and administration. Kids Club Operating Hours (School Year) - Open and Closing shifts with a long mid-day break. Alternate scheduling is possible if staffing allows. 7am-8:30am 3:30pm-6pm
