7.1.26 SUMMARY The ALOP Advocate is responsible for addressing the needs of students who were referred to the program by developing a student success plan to help improve in one or more of these areas: academic, behavior, attendance, and social-emotional learning. The position monitors academic progress, attendance, behavior, and social-emotional needs while developing individualized success plans and providing consistent weekly support. Through individual and group sessions, family engagement, referrals, crisis intervention, and post-secondary planning, the role works collaboratively with school staff and community partners to remove barriers and help students succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS

Bachelor's degree preferred Valid Driver's License required Competence in utilizing Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Virtual Meeting Platforms. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an acceptable/courteous manner. Understanding and awareness of multicultural needs. Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship/attitude across all ROE programs.
