Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a contract School Social Worker supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational environment close to Naperville. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from now through October 2nd, 2026, offering you the chance to build lasting relationships and support young learners' social and emotional development in both general and special education settings. In this role, you'll work closely with a caseload of approximately 25 elementary students and also provide essential push-in services for special education classrooms. Your expertise will support positive behavioral, academic, and social outcomes, making you an integral part of the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Illinois SSW license and PEL - School Social Worker endorsement required Documented experience working as a social worker in a school setting Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to support students with diverse backgrounds and needs Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect social work services for students and classrooms Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address student needs Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of student-centered plans Document and maintain records in compliance with school and state policies As a valued social worker in this school, you'll become a key advocate for student well-being, share your expertise with dedicated staff, and empower young learners to thrive both academically and emotionally.
