Job Description

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a School Social Worker supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational community near Saint Charles, IL. This important role spans Kindergarten through 5th grade and is perfect for someone who thrives on making a daily difference in children's lives. The position offers an immediate start and continues through November 4th, 2026, with the potential for extension. This onsite, full-time position runs from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM, offering the chance to collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow support staff. You will play a key role in fostering students' social, emotional, and academic growth, while tackling challenges and celebrating successes every day.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid Illinois School Social Worker license (IL SSW) and PEL Demonstrated prior experience working in a school setting Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents Ability to assess student needs and develop targeted intervention strategies Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-5 Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address students' diverse needs Develop and implement intervention plans for students requiring additional support Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of supportive educational programs Deliver crisis intervention as needed and connect families with community resources Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Imagine yourself empowering young learners to overcome challenges and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
