0 Baton Rouge, LA Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in social work Social Work License Master's degree Full Job Description Business Manager/Adoption Social Worker of Family Services Department Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking a full-time employee to serve as Business Manager/Adoption Social Worker for the Department of Family Services. The Department of Family Services provides unique support for pregnant women, families with young children, as well as adoption and behavioral health. It is constantly evolving to meet emerging needs in our community. Primary responsibilities for the Business Manager will include supervision of support staff, review and revision of policies and procedures, compliance management, as well as assisting with grant writing. The Adoption Social Worker is responsible for all aspects of adoption services including, but not limited to conducting home studies, adoption preparation and training, pre & post placement services, as well as post adoption services including support and referral. Prior training and experience in adoption informed care as well as experience in child and family wellbeing is strongly preferred. Experience presenting to various audiences for the purposes of training and education is preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work with a current social work license in Louisiana is required.
Strongly Preferred:
Prior advancement to management in the non-profit sector, public service, or similar field. Prior training and experience in adoption informed care as well as experience in child and family wellbeing is strongly preferred. Experience presenting to various audiences for the purposes of training and education is preferred.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and respect for the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the people we serve. Ability to manage change in a team-driven, dynamic workplace Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Excellent interpersonal skills, organization, problem-solving, and planning skills Highly proficient in MS Office programs including Word and Excel Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible work schedule Experience in performance and operations management Experience working in regulated public programs Valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Occasional ability to lift 5 to 20 lbs. The position requires the employee to walk, stoop, lift, bend, squat, kneel, climb, and operate a computer for several hours per day. Sitting or standing for 6 to 7 hours a day is expected for this position.
