9659149-70119 Job Description Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students journeys toward academic success in the New Orleans area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within the Pupil Appraisal Department, serving as an integral member of the evaluation and intervention process for Special Education eligibility. Rather than delivering direct services, your expertise will help assess, monitor, and advocate for students across 2-3 local schools. Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the current school year, you'll work full-time, approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, staying in step with the school calendar. The precise school assignments and caseload details will be confirmed upon onboarding and will focus on diverse student age groups.

Desired Qualifications:

Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification and a valid professional license required Experience in school social work, with familiarity in evaluations, re-evaluations, and testing for special education eligibility Background supporting multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with school psychologists and educational diagnosticians Strong communication skills for participation in

SBLC/ABIT

meetings and coordinating evaluations Ability to thrive in an itinerant role, providing support across multiple campuses Completion of district-required fingerprinting and drug screening in addition to standard credentialing processes
