Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Live-In House Manager to oversee the daily operations and overall well-being of a residential environment. This vital role combines leadership, supervision, and compassionate support to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing home for residents. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, demonstrating strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a proactive approach to managing both household responsibilities and resident needs. Responsibilities Supervise household staff and coordinate daily activities to maintain a smooth-running home environment Provide comprehensive childcare, behavioral health support, and crisis intervention as needed Ensure resident safety through security protocols, manual handling, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid Manage case documentation, data entry, filing, and collection of relevant information related to residents' progress and needs Support residents with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or those experiencing homelessness by implementing appropriate behavioral management strategies Facilitate communication with residents' families and social service agencies to coordinate care plans and support services Uphold resident confidentiality at all times while managing intake processes and supporting high-risk populations Qualifications Proven supervising experience in residential or community settings with diverse populations Strong background in childcare, social work, behavioral health, or related fields; experience working with youth or underserved communities is highly desirable Knowledge of security procedures, crisis intervention techniques, de-escalation methods, and addiction counseling approaches Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes Certifications including first aid, CPR, manual handling, and familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs preferred Excellent communication skills paired with strong writing abilities for case notes and reports Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges or substance use disorders in high-risk environments Experience working with culturally diverse communities and supporting clients from underserved backgrounds Capable of managing intake processes, medication administration, data collection, filing systems, and client communication efficiently Join us in this rewarding role where your leadership will foster a safe, supportive home environment.
