What they do

A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Description

Job Summary:
Manages a caseload of patients with psychiatric diagnoses and their families as part of an interdisciplinary team; contributes to the overall program by facilitating individual, group, and family meetings; leads groups; makes managed care calls; and establishes patient/discharge planning. Job Requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation. Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. Current Maine Social Worker/Clinician license required. Comp Range:
$57,208.78 - $78,785.41 Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
