A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced School Social Worker to provide vital support to elementary and preschool students. Working onsite, youll serve approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, helping young learners thrive and reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid approval as a School Social Worker from the Michigan Department of Education Previous experience in educational settings, particularly elementary or early childhood preferred Strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive social work services such as assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention Develop and implement strategies supporting students academic, emotional, and social growth Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to address and reduce barriers to learning Support and advocate for students individual needs, coordinating with community resources as needed Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and district guidelines Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and other school functions as required This full-time contract role offers a fulfilling chance to make a meaningful difference in young students' lives during the upcoming school year.
