This contract opportunity spans the academic year, providing support to approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom in an onsite setting. You will collaborate with educators and families, helping to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering direct school social work services tailored to students needs Providing crisis intervention, counseling, and support for individual students and groups Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff to promote a positive school environment Developing intervention plans and monitoring student progress Assisting families in accessing community resources Maintaining accurate records and complying with all federal, state, and school policies Supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings Qualifications and desired experience: Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker Experience supporting students in school settings, particularly within elementary or preschool environments Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and families Commitment to fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning communities This contract role provides a meaningful way to help students thrive, with consistent hours each week throughout the school year.
