A full-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced School Social Worker to serve a caseload of 48 K-12 students in the Lansing, MI area. Youll collaborate with educators and families to support the social-emotional well-being of students, promote positive outcomes, and ensure access to resources.

Qualifications & Experience:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid licensure or certification to practice as a School Social Worker Prior experience providing social work support in school settings, K-12 strongly preferred Strong knowledge of current best practices in student counseling, IEPs, and behavioral interventions Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a diverse caseload

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct social work services to individual students and groups, addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with teachers, school psychologists, and other staff Advocate for students and connect families with appropriate community resources Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring Support the creation of a positive and inclusive school climate for all learners Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and legal standards Offer crisis intervention, prevention and consultation as needed throughout the duration of the contract
