Job Description
Early Head Start Child Educator
- Lapeer County
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education or an associate's degree (or equivalent) in child development or early childhood education is required. Must be able to obtain a bachelor's degree within three years of hire. 2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with service organizations, parents, and children from birth to three years. 3. Following hire, a ServSafe credential must be obtained to ensure food safety. 4. Ability to work with people of varying ethnic/cultural and social backgrounds. 5. Must possess ability to physically perform job assignments, including, but not limited to, lifting and carrying children up to 40 pounds. 6. Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and have ability to travel throughout the service area. Must obtain a chauffeur's license to transport passengers following hire. 7. Must successfully pass all agency-required background checks, physical and TB test prior to hire. WAGE $24.00/hour plus agency fringe benefits Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, four-day workweek, health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidaysWORK LOCATION
