9624480-48446 Job Description Seeking a dedicated professional to provide vital support as a Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) Social Worker/Counselor serving general education students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with K-12 students, collaborating with educators, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution required. Current full licensure as a Social Worker or Counselor in Michigan (LMSW or LPC); limited licensees (LLMSW/LLPC) considered with the goal of acquiring full licensure. Previous experience in a public-school or related agency setting preferred. Background in working with collaborative teams and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) strongly valued. Comfortable supporting students onsite and managing a K-12 caseload. Ability to collect and evaluate educational data and make evidence-based recommendations. Candidates must provide official university transcripts, valid LARA license, and MDE SW Approval upon application.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and implement appropriate data collection methods and recommend intervention modifications or strategies to building teams. Design and manage tiered interventions, consult with staff, and oversee case management for students and families with multiple service needs. Participate actively in MTSS, student support, and parent meetings. Facilitate data management and provide staff with data-driven intervention strategies. Maintain thorough documentation of student encounters and coordinate services for families. Apply behavior management strategies and provide individual/group interventions for identified students. Uphold all district policies and best practices across assigned buildings. This contract role spans from August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027, at 35 hours per week with competitive compensation.
