GENERAL SUMMARY
The Social Worker provides services to patient, family members and/or significant others to help deal with adjustment to illness problems, understanding and accepting diagnoses, prognoses or treatment of new or recurrent disease. The Social Worker will work to implement a safe and appropriate transition to the next level of care.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE
Education MSW Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work Licensure State of Michigan license, LMSW, or license eligible, LLMSW Training and Experience 2 years as an MSW Social Worker in an acute care setting Job Knowledge Demonstrated ability to work with all age groups of patients Able to communicate effectively, demonstrating good audio and visual acuity Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Why Trinity Health System?
