Qualifications:
School Social Worker certification required or meet requirements for full or temporary approval from MDE Must have strong understanding of special education eligibility requirements and evaluation procedures Must have strong behavioral background with an emphasis on creating and implementing behavior plans and functional behavior assessments Early childhood experience and developmental knowledge strongly preferred Strong data analysis experience preferred
Description:
Support general and special education early childhood developmental needs by supporting students on and off caseload Provides special education evaluations and service delivery within the building and community early childhood settings Provide professional development on behavior and regulation strategies to teachers and administrators Supports the RtI and MTSS framework development Takes an active role in the child study process at the building level by addressing social-emotional and regulation needs for all students Knowledge of community mental health agencies Referrals to outside agencies Classroom groups Plans for individual students and small groups on targeted skills Regular and consistent attendance
