Key responsibilities include:

Delivering direct social-emotional support to students through individual and group sessions Collaborating with educators and administrators to implement positive behavior interventions and supports throughout the school Providing professional learning opportunities for staff as it relates to mental health and wellbeing Assisting with school- or classroom-wide initiatives aimed at fostering a supportive educational environment Contributing expertise in mental health to shape proactive, responsive interventions To be considered, candidates must hold a masters degreebachelors degrees are not accepted for this roleand one of the following licensures or credentials: Licensed masters level psychologist or social worker (or limited licenses under proper supervision) Masters level marriage and family therapist, or professional counselor (or limited licenses under supervision) MDE-credentialed masters level school psychologist or social worker School Counselor License (SCL), Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor endorsement, Preliminary or Temporary School Counselor Credentials (with commitment to meet licensing requirements) LARA licensure is essential.
