Qualifications:

Active Michigan social work license. Department of Education school social work approval. Experience or strong interest in working with K-5 students, with flexibility to support some middle school learners. Proven ability to support students with high behavioral needs is strongly desired. Skilled in leading small group therapy sessions and delivering consultative services. Effective communicator, collaborative and organized, with a commitment to fostering positive student outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Deliver social work services to assigned caseload primarily in K-5 settings, with some middle school students as needed. Provide direct interventions for students exhibiting high behavioral needs. Facilitate small group therapy sessions focusing on social, emotional, and behavioral skill building. Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective support plans. Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams to assess and address students needs. Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with state and district policies. Advocate for students overall social and emotional well-being within the school environment.
