Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School Social Worker on a contract basis. Collaborate with educators, students, and families to support social, emotional, and academic development, utilizing your expertise to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications:
Hold a current 310 endorsement and a valid state license to practice as a School Social Worker. Experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse backgrounds. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education processes preferred. Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs through intervention, counseling, and support services. Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs, contributing valuable insights to help shape student success. Provide crisis intervention and develop strategies to support students facing significant challenges. Facilitate communication between students, families, and staff, ensuring a coordinated approach to student well-being. Develop and implement preventive programs on topics such as bullying, attendance, and conflict resolution. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical requirements.
