Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families experiencing crisis by providing guidance, advocacy, and access to resources to help them navigate complex systems. This position requires a strong commitment to client-centered advocacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Duties Provide crisis intervention support to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. Assist clients in understanding their rights and available options within child protective services and family law systems. Facilitate conflict management strategies to help resolve disputes in a constructive manner. Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client support. Offer guidance on childcare resources and child welfare services available within the community. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of client interactions and progress. Participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance advocacy skills. Qualifications Experience in social work or a related field preferred, particularly with children and families. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavioral health principles. Strong understanding of child protective services, family law, and child welfare systems. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and case tracking. Schedule & Hours Part-time 3 shifts per week 4:00 PM-12:00 AM 8-hour shifts Every other weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Every other Monday Every other
Wednesday and Thursday Expected Hours:
Approximately 24 hours per week. The schedule follows a rotating pattern, with weekend shifts alternating every other weekend. Applicants must be available for the scheduled evening, weekend, and rotating weekday shifts. Some weeks may include additional hours to cover for full-time advocates during scheduled time off. Attendance at a mandatory team meeting on the first Thursday of every month from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM is required.
