Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your passion for supporting students to an impactful contract position serving a diverse cohort of Kindergarten through 5th graders. As a dedicated School Social Worker, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 50 students, providing essential services and guidance within a vibrant educational setting. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week opportunity for an enthusiastic professional eager to empower young learners near Buffalo, MN.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as a School Social Worker Experience working within elementary school settings preferred Strong understanding of best practices surrounding student mental health, behavioral support, and social-emotional learning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff Ability to balance caseload management with direct student services Compassionate, resourceful, and proactive approach to student well-being
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and interventions for students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Develop and implement individualized support plans, working in partnership with teachers and families Conduct group and one-on-one counseling sessions to foster student growth and resilience Serve as a crucial resource for crisis intervention and conflict resolution Coordinate with multidisciplinary school teams to deliver wraparound services that promote academic and personal success Maintain accurate, confidential case documentation consistent with district policies and ethical standards This contract position offers you the chance to make a tangible impact in an elementary school setting while working with a supportive team of educators.
