Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a transitional education setting as a School Social Worker specializing in Special Education. This contract position is based at a technical college in the Rosemount, MN area, where you'll play a key role within the Transitional Education Service Alternative Program (TESA). The role follows a consistent weekday schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., aligning with the assigned school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility of contract renewal.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure or certification as a school social worker in Minnesota Prior experience working with school-aged children, especially those in special education settings Strong understanding of educational services, social-emotional learning, and student advocacy Excellent communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills Ability to effectively manage case loads, multitask, and maintain accurate documentation Passion for supporting students as they transition to new educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
