Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children, specifically within special education settings Knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention, counseling, and student support services Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful school climate
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct social work services to students with IEPs or 504 Plans, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with education goals Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual and group needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to facilitate student success and connect resources Support IEP process through documentation, progress monitoring, and active participation in team meetings Promote preventive and therapeutic programs to address bullying, mental health issues, and adjustment challenges Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all student interactions This contract position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., aligned with the school calendar for the 2026-2027 school year, with the opportunity for continuation.
