Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a School Social Worker in Minnesota Previous experience supporting students in K-12 educational settings, particularly within special education Strong ability to develop and implement individual or group interventions Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff Experience with crisis intervention and collaborative problem-solving Understanding of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices
Key Responsibilities:
Support students enrolled in the Transitional Education Service Alternative Program (TESA), addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs Develop individualized plans and provide direct counseling and case management Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other support personnel to address and monitor student progress Establish productive relationships with students, families, and external partners to foster a supportive learning environment Lead and participate in meetings, including IEP and multidisciplinary planning sessions Deliver interventions aligned with IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation This position follows the assigned school calendar with a schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for the full academic school year (2026-2027), continuing based on contract renewal.
