Overview Always Hope is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Parent Aide / Visitation Monitor to provide family support services to families involved with Children's Division, Family Centered Services, and Jasper County Family Courts. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping families succeed and enjoy teaching, coaching, mentoring, and supporting parents in real-life situations. Parent Aides work directly with families to help strengthen parenting skills, improve family functioning, increase support systems, and promote child safety and well-being. Responsibilities Teach, model, and coach effective parenting skills Assist families with home management, budgeting, meal planning, and daily living skills Support healthy parent-child interactions Provide hands-on coaching during family visits and reunification efforts Help parents build support systems and access community resources Assist families in understanding child development and age-appropriate expectations Support families in managing stress, mental health concerns, and life challenges Develop individualized treatment plans with families Complete timely documentation and monthly progress reports Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background screening Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Compassionate, professional, and nonjudgmental approach when working with families Preferred Experience in child welfare, foster care, education, juvenile justice, behavioral health, social work, or related fields Knowledge of child development and family systems Experience working with high-needs children and families Experience with trauma-informed care What We're Looking For the ideal candidate will: Builds trust easily with children and families Can teach and model parenting skills in a respectful manner Understands trauma and adversity Remains calm in difficult situations Demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism Believes families can grow, heal, and succeed Why Join Always Hope?
