Job Summary St. Francis Borgia Grade School, a vibrant Catholic school community in the heart of Washington, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aide - Aftercare to supervise students in the school's aftercare program. The Aftercare Aide plays a key role in providing a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students after school hours.
Job Responsibilities Supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe and supportive setting. Organizing activities, games, and snacks for children ranging from preschool through 8th grade. Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with school and program guidelines. Support a positive, faith-filled environment that reflects the values of St. Francis Borgia School. Help with cleanup and maintaining a tidy, organized space at the end of each session. Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Aftercare Director in a timely manner. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times. Job Requirements Experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, or similar setting preferred. Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, nurturing, and effective manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be dependable, patient, and flexible. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background screening required.
