Social Worker III - Foster Care
Job Description

Provides advanced, professional casework for children Conducts regular fieldwork (home visits, school visits) and contacts collateral sources to gather information Ensure child safety, wellbeing, and permanency Assesses service needs, makes referrals, and advocates for children and families Manages caseload in timely manner Completes required assessments, reports, service agreements, medical, and financial documentation Documents all case activity accurately and on time Communicates safety concerns promptly to supervisors Prepares reports for Permanency Planning Reviews, Child and Family Team Meetings, and court proceedings; testifies in juvenile court Maintains workload documentation (case dictation, daysheets, travel reimbursement) Meets all DHHS policy and timeframe standards Provides periodic on-call coverage with 24/7 availability; responds to abuse, neglect, and dependency reports Identifies risk and implements safety interventions during on-call duties Performs other duties as assigned, including shelter duty Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work Or, Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only) Or, Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience Or, Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience Or, Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience Or, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience Special Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Background records check, drug screen, and references will be required for the successful candidate. All applications will be considered but not necessarily interviewed.
