Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Programs and Visitor Engagement Coordinator to lead engaging programs and foster meaningful connections with visitors. Duties The Program and Visitor Engagement Coordinator will Plan and facilitate engaging after-school STEM programs for our community outreach partners Wednesday-Friday during the school year. Schedule varies during summer. Occasional evenings required. Plan and lead field trips and special programs. Lead onsite programs including STEM Saturdays and contribute to our monthly living history events at Gregory Creek Homestead. Assist with after-hours events on occasion. Must work well independently and efficiently while executing several projects, and be comfortable working onsite alone if necessary. Greeting and engaging with visitors and accepting payment at the front desk Wednesday-Saturday. General cleaning of museum spaces when necessary. Assist with exhibit planning and installation. Other tasks as needed.

Skills Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in education, science, history, art history, museum studies, humanities field, or similar OR a current college student interested in these fields. Interest and some experience in program development and public engagement a must! We have a small staff with regular programs, projects, rotating exhibits, and more. At museums, most of the work is done behind the scenes so if you love planning and bringing to life educational experiences while also constantly researching and learning, this is a great job for you!

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
