Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 6.5-hour shifts (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Typical Shift Start Times:

Between 7:00 AM and 8:00

AM Typical Shift End Times:

Between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM Skyline Personnel is excited to partner with the Wake County Public School System to offer entry-level food service opportunities for the upcoming school year. Whether you're looking to gain experience in school nutrition or seeking a path to permanent employment with WCPSS, this is a great opportunity to get started. Job Responsibilities Prepare food for breakfast and lunch service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including dishes, equipment, and prep stations Support timely meal service and contribute to smooth cafeteria operations Assist with food inventory and stock Follow safety and sanitation guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen staff and students Requirements Must complete a pre-employment physical and TB test (Out-of-pocket cost; not covered by the agency. Pricing varies by provider.) Must pass a criminal background check processed by WCPSS Must have reliable transportation Comfortable working with children (Grades K-12) Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required Important Notes All placements are within Wake County , based on school needs We aim to place candidates as close to home as possible , but specific school assignments are not guaranteed This is a temp-to-hire opportunity through Skyline Personnel 520 agency hours must be completed before you are eligible for permanent hire by WCPSS (Please do not begin this process if you're not willing to continue through the agency—WCPSS cannot hire you directly until this requirement is met.)
