Embark on a rewarding contract position as a Clinical Social Worker serving a diverse student population near Edison, NJ. This full-time placement spans the entire academic year, beginning ASAP and concluding in late June 2027. Working Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm, you will be based at a supportive school environment, collaborating closely with a fellow clinician as part of the B.E.S.T. program. Your caseload includes 15-20 students, providing ongoing counseling and addressing new referrals for those with emotional impairments. Many of the students come from trauma-affected or low-income backgrounds and may require therapy support while participating in general education. Applicants should have a strong background in counseling youth, particularly those affected by trauma and challenging behavioral needs. Your vital expertise will help shape positive outcomes for students in need of social-emotional support.

Qualifications:

Current licensure and educator certification as a Clinical Social Worker Demonstrated experience offering counseling to school-aged children Background working with trauma, low-income communities, and behavior management Familiarity with IEP processes and supporting students in both special and general education settings Excellent communication and teamwork skills
