Desired Background & Certifications:

Active NM Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with autism, ADHD, and developmental delays Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school teams Comfortable traveling between multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate group games to help students with autism develop social communication skills Design structured physical activities for students with ADHD to support focus and manage energy levels Implement adapted sports and recreational activities for students with developmental delays to enhance gross motor skills Guide students in utilizing community resources, promoting inclusion and participation in community recreation Offer individualized support to students navigating stress, anxiety, and depression, introducing relaxation and coping methods This engaging role provides the chance to foster growth, resilience, and independence among diverse learners while building strong professional relationships within the school community.
