The Social Services Supervisor will:
Serve as a Staff Manager within the Work and Family Support Bureau (WFSB) for the Income Support Division (ISD). Coordinate, and direct activities for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) limited participation customers supported by the WFSB. Supervision, oversight, and guidance to program coordinators, ensuring timely and accurate case management and adherence to all standards. Staff productivity and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as HCA policies and procedures. Innovative strategies to strengthen program effectiveness and support limited participation customers in achieving self-sufficiency. How does it get done? The Social Services Supervisor is responsible for: Leading the TANF limited participation case management program. Overseeing Supervisor Recruitment and Senior Business Operations Analyst positions and indirectly supervising 20 Community and Social Service Specialists. Delegating project tasks and helping the team with prioritizing workload. Supporting staff by ensuring they understand their requirements. Identifying improvement areas and providing solutions. Empowering staff to make informed and effective decisions. Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with internal and external partners. Anticipating and responding to customer and stakeholder needs. Coordinating with state departments, federal partners, HCA bureaus, and other entities to promote clear information exchange and cross¿team collaboration. Communicating with staff to ensure all projects align with agency goals and initiatives. Assisting with recruitment to maintain bureau staffing. Supervising and supporting program managers. Coaching and training employees to foster growth. Monitoring federal and state legislative activity. Who are the customers? Serving HCA internal staff, HCA customers, federal partners, and external partners. Ideal Candidate Serving HCA internal staff, HCA customers, federal partners, and external partners. Minimum Qualification Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Ciminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and two (2) years of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess or obtain Defensive Driving Certificate. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
