As the Field Instructor it is important to facilitate experiential learning opportunities, provide mentorship, and ensure that the student- internship program develops the practical skills necessary for success in social work careers. This is a paid position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact the improvements and confidence of future social workers. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor, ensuring adherence to agency policies and professional standards Provide ongoing feedback and support to students to enhance their practical skills and clinical competencies Collaborate with academic institutions to align field activities with educational objectives Conduct regular site visits to monitor student progress and address any challenges or concerns Facilitate reflective discussions and debriefings to promote critical thinking and professional development Maintain detailed documentation of student performance, attendance, and progress reports Stay current with best practices in social work education and incorporate them into supervision strategies Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid state licensure or certification as a Certified or Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) preferred but not mandatory Proven experience working in social services, mental health, or related fields with a focus on supervision or mentorship Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide students effectively Knowledge of ethical standards, confidentiality protocols, and best practices in social work education Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for diverse student populations Join us as a Field Instructor and promote a crucial role in improving the next generation of social workers!
