RESPONSIBILITIES
Support implementation of the district's social-emotional learning curriculum and prevention programming Provide classroom-based, small-group, and short-term individual social-emotional and behavioral support as appropriate Consult with teachers regarding student needs, positive behavior strategies, and classroom functioning Provide parent/caregiver support, education, ad training related to child development, social-emotional wellness, and positive behavior Promote family engagement and assist families with connections and referrals to appropriate school and community resources Collaborate with UPK staff, administrators, families, and related service providers Maintain appropriate documentation and participate in program planning, professional development, and supervision

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY
$69,427.00 Job Qualifications NYS School Social Worker Certification Experience working with young children and families in a school or community-based setting Knowledge and experience in social-emotional learning (SEL), early prevention, and behavioral support Strong consultation and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of substance use prevention and the development of early protective factors preferred Bilingual preferred Application Procedure Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
